Dean Petty, 41, has been making a serious run at professional pickleball since his surprising play at the Atlanta Open in May 2019. Known locally around the Memphis, Tennessee, area for his energetic play, he works full time as a tennis teaching professional. 

Though he's only been making a run at pickleball seriously for about six months, Dean has already broken into the Top 20 of the Men's Singles rankings. Dean makes his presence known on the court with his energy and focused shots, as well as his sportsmanlike demeanor. 

Dean is excited to be part of Team Vulcan because of the supportive family atmosphere, and of course the amazing paddle selection!
